Dallas, Texas (November 17, 2017) Swank Capital, LLC and Cushing® Asset Management, LP announce the publication of updated Index Methodology Guides for The Cushing® 30 MLP Index, The Cushing® MLP Market Cap Index and The Cushing® MLP Market Cap Index (each an “Index” and collectively the “Indices”). In addition to language changes to enhance clarity and update references, three substantive process changes to Index methodology have been incorporated in the updated documents:

  1. Trading liquidity – average daily value traded of each constituent security candidate is now required to have been in excess of $2 million over the prior six months.
  2. Constituent replacement due to proposed merger or acquisition announcement – constituent replacement will now take place after the market closes on the first date on which a shareholder or unitholder (as applicable) meeting to vote on the transaction is scheduled for any company involved in the merger or acquisition, irrespective of the outcome of such vote or whether the meeting actually takes place.
  3. Constituent replacement due to dividend or distribution cut announcement – constituent replacement will now take place on the later of a) the ex-date or b) the last business day of the week, provided the business day is at least five business days after the date of the announcement.

The updated Index Methodology Guides will be applied prospectively beginning on November 17, 2017. The full Index Methodology Guides are available for review on the Cushing Indices website at http://www.cushingasset.com/indices.
